Abstract: The experiments were conducted from 1998 to 1999 to study silking date regulation for corn seed production w ith plastic film mulching.Six selftines were selected to obtain the regression equation ; y =8-0.8x.The reg ression coef ficient showed that the mulching date for selflines was one day ahead of time the silking date 0.8 days earlier in 10 days after planting in 1998.The results of experiment in 1999 , showed that if the silking dates betw een the female and male parent has 10 days difference as planting of the sameday their silking date may be met by optimum mulching for late mature parent. Therefore, the film mulching may regulate silking to ensure corn seed production for stable and high yield.
