Abstract: The POD isozymes in radicle and plumule of two winter wheat seedlings (Zhongyin-15and 81-1 )were significantly affected after treatment by different temperatures(25℃, 30℃,40 ℃,50℃)and times (2, 4, 8, 16, 24, 48 hours), Its bands increased when treatment time prolonged at normal temperature(25℃).At 30℃, POD isozymes showed curve changes. The bands increased with the lengthening of the treatment time, but the bands decreased after reaching at a definite time. The peak value is related to the characteristics of variety and sampling position. The tendency of bands decreased at high temperature (40℃, 50℃), and decreased sharply after a period of treatment. The ability of high temperature tolerance is varited significantly among winter wheat varieties.
