Breeding Characteristics and Yield Potential of Yumai 16

Abstract

Abstract: The breeding characteristics of Yumai 16 were:using multiple disease-resistant germpiasms from different regions,increasing F_{2 population,selecting the elite families and identifving for stripe rust and powdery mildew resistances in F_{4,assessing the yield potential of F limes on multiple sites,speeding up the breeding process and utilization of the new variety by the technique of combining experiment with multiplication, selection,cultivation and demonstration at the same time, The results showed that Yumai 16 had a high yield potential of 500-600kg per mu.The breeding obiectives for higher yielding varieties were discussed.}}
