Correlation Between IAA Oxidase Activity and Peroxidase Activity in the Leaves of Apple Stock

Abstract: The activity and the ratio activity of peroxidase with different Rf in different apple stock leaves were analysed using the PAGE and stained with Coomassie brillant blue R-250 and acetic acid-benzidine. The oxidation quantity of IAA in the same sample leaf was deter mined by use of Salkowski regent. The oxidation quantity, and the peroxidase activity and its ratio activity with different Rf in these leaves were analysed with path analyses, The re suits showed that there was certain correlation between the IAA oxidation quantity and the activity of two peroxidase bands when their Rfs were 0.49 and 0.70 respectively, but the correlation was not significant. The Rf of the IAA oxidase activity was about 0.57.
