Abstract: Protein synthesis can be affected by many factors, such as amino acid composition in diets, hormonelevels in the body and stabilization of homeostasis in mammary gland, etc. It is well-established that the neuroendocrine system plays a critical role not only in integrating biological responses but in regulating the metabolism of keyprecursors for lactoprotein systhesis. Evidence emerging from recent studies has revealed that research in the courseof lactoproein systhesis regulated by neuroendocrine system and screening of key neuroendoctine factors and cytokines as well as the vital pathway of signal transduction, which potentially helps to improve milk quality. In this article, we have reviewed the progress in the role of regulation of protein synthesis by neuroendocrine system to increasemilk protein.
