Abstract: Abstract:MADS??box proteins builds up a kind of sequence??specific gene transcript ional regulatory factor family to show active or inhibitory roles. Recent ly,many achievements have been made, and here we summarized the new observa??tions on their regulatory roles in plant blooming, fruit mature and nodule formation, suggested their dual regulatory functions and discussed the significance and perspective in further researches.

Key words: MADS??box protein, Dual structure and function, Blooming regulation, Nodule formation
