Abstract: Based on NC II design, 168 crosses were made from 21 normal corn inbreds from different heterotic groups in Huanghuaihai Region as female parents and 8 ALEXHO high oil corn inbreds from China Agricultural University as male parents, which were grown in a randomized complete-block design experiment with three replications, and the GCA and SCA of per-plant yield and kernel oil content of F1 Embryo were analyzed. The results were as follows: the GCA of per-plant yield and kernel oil content for GY246A were significant at 0.0l level, showing the direct utilization value in breeding, followed by GY246B and GY220. The GCA of peagplant yield and kernel oil content for 8085tai, 246, P138, 8622 and 87-1 were signfficant at 0.0l level or 0.O5 level, so their heterosis could also be used in breeding. The SCA of per-plant yield and kernel oil content in crosses 246 x GY246B, Q1261 x GY246A and 478 x GY956 were higher than in other cxosses. The per-plant yield of 246 x GY246B was the highest among all the crosses, 25.96% higher than CK hybrid, and its oil content was 6.6%, presenting a great utilization value in corn production.
