Genetic Studies on Quality Characters of Jeoponica Rice in Ningxia

Abstract

Abstract: Canonical correlation analysis between 9 agronomic characters and 5 appearance quality and milled quality was conduct.The results should there the correlation between the 2 groups of characters was significant.It were also found that the relationship between number of filled spikelet per panicle and the ratio of head rice and transparency was significant.The correlation between 1 000 kernel weight and yield weight per plant and the ratio of chalky rice was also significant.As a result,the relationship between agronomic characters and milled quality appearance quality was significant,and its canonical correlation coefficieve has 75% correlation information.So selection for superior quality characters and high yield character can be practised simultaneously for the selection of yield characters,and number of filled spikelet per panicles,1000 kernel weight and per plant by along and the quality character and breeding efficient were improved indirectly.
