Abstract: In this paper, the damage of root tip cells of plants of K 2Cr 2 O 7 treatment was studied. The results showed that K 2Cr 2 O 7 could inhibit the growth of the seedlings of plant cells, cause DNA damage of root tip cells of plants, result in the ultrastructural changes of cells. In addition, the significant changes of peroxidase isozyme patterns were observed after treatment with K 2Cr 2 O 7.

Key words: K2Cr2O7, DAN damage, Ultrastructure, Peroxidase isozyme
