Abstract: AREB/ABFs transcription factor family genes are mainly involved in drought, high salt, low temperature and other stress response. To obtain the high salt tolerance level of cotton germplasm. The salt tolerance of transcription factor gene of GHABF4 was transformated into cotton inbred Zhong 35 plant by Agrobacterium-mediated method. Transgenic plants in T1,T2 and T3 were detected by kanamycin resistance screening,PCR.Pure transgenic lines were obtained from T3.Salt tolerance analysis was carried out on 5 T3 transgenic cotton lines and non transgenic cotton plants by salt stress test. The results showed that under 200 mmol/L NaCl stress, compared with non transgenic lines,5 transgenic cotton plant height increased from 2.5 to 4.4 cm,on the part of the fresh quality increased by 3.6%-11.8%,antioxidant enzyme SOD,POD,CAT activity and chlorophyll content were higher than the control. The results of this study showed that under salt stress, the transgenic GHABF4 cotton showed good growth and physiological advantages, and the transgenic GHABF4 gene could enhance the salt tolerance of cotton.
