Abstract: Seed disinfection is the first step in soybean transformation. The seed contamination varied with the environment of their production area. To establish an effective disinfection method,the contamination ratio and gerurination ratio under different disinfection treatments were compared in this study. The seed contamination ratio was significant different with their production area. Hypo}hloride sodium liquid disinfection was effective to seeds with low contamination ratio while it affected seed vigor seriously. Chloride gas and double disinfection method can remove the contaminated pathogen effectively with less affect on seed vigor. Double disinfection can remove the infected pathogen thoroughly and can be applied in disinfection of heave contaminated seeds.
