Abstract: Use saved 1 to 5 years bracken spores as test materials,to study the spores viability by measured the germination rate, catalase ( CAT) activity, peroxidase(POD) activity, malondialdehyde(MDA) content and relative conductivity and other physical indexes. The results showed that:germination time, relative conductivity, and MDA content were correlated negatively with germination rate,CAT activity, and POD activity were positively correlated with germination rate;and with storage times increased, germination rate decreased, germination time extended,CAT, POD activity decreased, while the relative conductivity and MDA content was increased;when the bracken spores storage of 5 years has been almost lost vitality.

Key words: Spores of bracken, Storage time, Spore viability, Physiological index
