Isolation, Identincation and Molecular Characterization of a H9N2 Isolate from a Broiler Flock Glandular Stomach

Abstract: A newly H9N2 isolate named A/Chicken/Shandong/KD/09 was collected from a broiler flock glanduar stomach,The biological test showed that the isolate A/Chicken/Shandong/KD/09 exhibited the IVPI value with 0,and the isolate shared a lentogenic motif 335RSSR↓GL340 at the HA protein cleavage site,which indicated that A/Chicken/Shandong/KD/09 was lentogenic.The HA gene nucleotides(amino acids) homologies is 94.5%-100%(95.5%-99.8%) between the isolate A/Chicken/Shandong/KD/09 and the China H9N2 isolates.The HA gene nucleotides(amino acids) homologies is 80.9%-91.5%(88.1%-91.5%) between the isolate A/Chicken/Shandong/KD/09 and A/ck/Korea/ms96/96,A/Parakeet/chiba/1/97,A/turkey/Wisconsin/1/1966 H9N2 isolates.Phylogenetic analysis of HA gene showed that the A/Chicken/Shandong/KD/09 was similar to that of the A/chicken/Shandong/2/02.
