Analysis on Main Yield Characters of the Spring Sowing Transgenic Insect Resistant Cotton Varieties Used to Jizhongnan Released in Hebei Province

Abstract: Total 35 transgenic insect resistant cotton varieties and 20 transgenic insect resistant cotton hybrids were approved from 1995, when the Hebei Province cotton variety examination and approval committee began to allowed transgenic insect resistant cotton varieties in regional test for spring sowing cotton region of southen-central Hebei. On the analysis of the yield components, the results showed most varieties that approved from 2006 to 2008, the pre-frost lint cotton output of the conventional variety assumes increase tendency, and the hybrid output assumes increase first, then remain the stable tendency, the lint percentage obtains the distinct enhancement before 2002 -2003, It is obvious by the hybrid, rised from 37.6% to 41. 9%, afterwards gradually stabilizes about 40%, the lint percentage of convention varieties also have a distinct enhancement, per boll weight has continued the rise situation, the change scope is 4.9 -6.5 g, the bells of per plants change small. Contrast with convention variety, the hybrid may improve the output rapidly, but reach a certain degree, both performance are gradually similar.
