Abstract: Using PCR technology, the exon 2 of Lactoferrin gene was obtained from genome of Xinjiang Bazhou yak,the product containin the coding region of the Lfcin gene;the structure of Lfcin was predicted by the online biological software. As a result,The DNA sequence that contains the LF gene second exon of Xinjiang Bazhou yak was cloned(GenBank:EU547256),constituted by 778 bp,Lfcin coding region that code 25 amino acids being 75 bp length;According sequence analyse, there are 11 different bases between cow and yak′s sequence;Yak and cow′s Lfcin gene code same protein sequence and there are high homology in different species;the evolutionary tree of Lfcin protein in all species complies with laws of evovution;homogenous 3D model of Lfcin obtained by predict shows that Lfcin protein presents ″U2shape″structure.The coding region of Lfcin gene in Xinjian Bazhou yak was cloned for the first time, and its molecular characteristics was shown. This work laid an essential foundation for researches of genetics engineering and protein function about Lfcin protein of yak.
