Abstract: To discuss the related genes involved in skin and hair follicle development regulated and its mechanism, the expression of BMP2 in skin and hair follicle in Inner Mongolia Cashmere goat were studied by in situ hybridization and RT-PCR.The results showed the expression of BMP2 was up-regulated in skin telogen, while it didn't expressed in anagen, and the expression of BMP2 in telogen was 27.8 times than that in anagen. These results indicated that BMP2 inhibited hair follicle development in telogen and kept hair follicle in anagen,BMP2 would be involved in new round hair forming,So,BMP2 should be a potential molecular target to improving cashmere yield in Cashmere goat breeding.

Key words: BMP2, Hair folliccle, In situ hybirdization, Real time RT一PCR, Expression
