Abstract: This paper made a study of the variety regulation of pathogens in the activated sludge through biologicalfermentat ion using Aspergillus niger as zymophyte. The results showed that the quantity of the pathogens changed "sdshadow".Different pathogens have specific growth regulat ions because of C/ N and additives of different composts. Thenumber of pathogens may be reduced by fermentation but could not be completely exterminated. So 200℃ heat physicaldecomposit ion to activated sludge must be applied to attain the aim of safety and recycling.

Key words: Municipal activated sludge, Aspergillus niger, Pathogens
