Abstract: The mean value of total Mn in the soils of Hebei province is 569 ppm, lower than that of the whole China or the world. The contents of available manganese of the 5253 samples are averaged 5.8 ppm (extracted by DTPA). 73.7 percent of these samples representing 79.8 percent of the total cultivated land of Hebei have available manganese value lower than the deficient critical value ( 7 PPm ).This predicates that the utilizatoin of Mn-fertilizer has a great potentiality to increase the out-puts, of these soils. This paper has discussed the influence of soils parent material, texture, CaCO3.pH, moisture, organic matter, etc. on the content of Manganese in the soils and it's growth-decline. Meanwhile discussed the statistical relationship among them.
