Assay on Electrolyte Leakage Rate of Walnut Shoots of Jinboxiang Series

Abstract: The change law of the electrolyte leakage rate of one-yea-old branches at different temperature was studied with walnut new varieties Jinboxiang series of No.1 to No.10 and Shanximian Walnut. The results showed that: the tissue relative electrolyte leakage increased obviously with strengthen of low temperature stress. The electrolyte leakage rate of Jinboxiang series of No.1 to No.10 were higher than the Shanximian Walnut, therefore it could be considered that the cold resistance of Jinboxiang series of No.1 to No.10 were weaker than Shanximian Walnut. There was extremely significant difference between Jinboxiang No.1, No.2, No.3, No.5, No.7, No.8, No.9, No.10 and Shanximian Walnut, and there was no significant difference between Jinboxiang No.4, No.6 and Shanximian Walnut. Thus it was considered that the cold resistance of Jinboxiang No.4 and No.6 were relative strong, and more excellent than others. It could inferred that the order of cold resistance was: Shanximian Walhut>Jinboxiang 6>Jinboxiang 4>Jinboxiang 3>Jinboxiang 8>Jinboxiang 7>Jinboxiang 1>Jinboxiang 2>Jinboxiang 5>Jinboxiang 9>Jinboxiang 10.
