Abstract: The damage of Cerodonta denticornis to wheat has increased in recent years. In order to find out its behavior and the correct sampling method, its population density in 8 wheat varieties was investigated during the damage peak and spatial distribution of larva and pupae in wheat field was analyzed with some aggregation indexes, Taylor}s power principle and m*-m regression equation. The results showed that the highest population density was in the field of variety Xuzhou 26,but in the field of variety Jinan 17,the pest had the lowest density. In early May, the larva and pupae revealed uniform distribution.
