The Effect of Different Fruit Age and Post-ripening Period on the Quality Index of Squash Seed

Abstract: The f ruit age and the post-ripening period affect the seed quality, as the f ruit age leng thened (period of 30-60 days), the seedYield and the seed quali ty w ould be co rresponding raised.Post-ripening could improve the seed quali ty obviously.As the ripening day s increased, the seedYield and the seed quali ty were improved corresponding ly.The best seed quality and high seed yield could be achieved w hen the seed f ruit w as picked 40 days after pollination and w as lef t post-ripening for 10 days at least,w hich can be regarded as the g uide for the reproduction.
