Effect of Herbicide Basta on Mature Embryo of Buckwheat and Naked Oats

Abstract

Abstract: Seeds of buckwheat and naked oats were sterilized and implanted on MS media in which concentration of herbicide Basta was 0,2,4,6,8 and 10mg·L^-1 respectively.After seeds of buckwheat germinated into seedlings,cotyledon gradually lost green and died on media supplemented with Basta 4mg·L^-1 or more.Germination and growth of naked oats seeds were inhibited when concentration of Basta was over 6mg·L^-1 in medium.High temperature and pressure method and filter method were effective to sterilization of Basta and there were no obvious differences between them in inhibition effect.
