Abstract: Through the measuring of soil physical properties and fixed-position observation of soil water, this paper, considering the characteristic of the local climate and crop growth, divided the water vertical distribution of coarse sandy soil in Huangfan Plain into rapidly changeable layer (10~40 cm), live layer (40~100 cm), and stable layer (below 100 cm); and divided the seasonal trend of soil water into strong evapotranspiration period, supplementary percolation period, slow consumption period, and relative equilibrium period.
