Abstract:
A study on the effects of different population density of stone mite of Petrobia latens(Muller)on its longevity, propagation and migration. The results indicated that with the increase of population the density of Petrobia latens the hatchability of egg decreased propagative capability and longevity of female mite declined the death rate of larva and the migratory proportion of adult mite raised. The harmful density was 20-40 mites per wheat plant. The control standard was 1400 mites per 100 wheat stems turning green period and index of damage was 1.0% during turning green period and that is 6.5% respectively at that is 6700 at jointing stage.
