Content and Distribution of Molybdenum in Soils of Hebei

Abstract

Abstract: The mean value of total Mo in soils of Hebei Province is 0.61ppm,lower than that of the whole country(1.7ppm)and that of the world(2.3ppm).The average content of soil available Mo is 0.19ppm.The soil available Mo in 68.6% cultivated land of Hebei is below the deficient critical value(0.15ppm).The cultivated land with a medium available Mo value(0.16-0.20ppm)accounts for 8.6%,and that with a value above 0.20ppm accounts for 22.6%.The effects of soil parent material,texture,organic matter,CaCo₃,pH,etc.on the content,distribution and fluctuation of soil Mo are discussed in this paper.Based on the soil available Mo contents of 3982 soil samples,a distribution map of fhe soil avai.la’ble Mo in Hebei Province has been made.
