Cloning and Sequence Analysis of NBS Resistance Gene Analogs from Dongxiang Oryza ru fipogon Griff

Abstract: Degenerate oligonucleotide primers were designed on the basis of nucleotide-binding site(NBS) motifsconserved among the reported disease resistance genes. By reverse transcription polymerise chain reaction(RT-PCR),seven new NBS,RR disease resistance gene analogues hive been obtained and cloned from Dongxiing Oryarufgon Griff. Sequencing of the DNA fragments indicated that ill of NBS resistance gene analogues contained theconserved motifs of NBS,RR type resistance genes such is Poop ( Kinise 1 a),Kinise 2,Kinise 3i and trinsmem-brince domain.
