Abstract: In order to identify the susceptible growth stages of rice to rice black—streaked dwarf disease, the difference of resistance level among 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 leaf ages in two rice varieties, Tetep and Huajing No.6, were analyzed in simulated field conditions. The results showed that Tetep with leaf age less than 8 and Huajing No.6 with leaf age less than 10 were susceptible to rice black—streaked dwarf disease, while both Tetep and Huajing No.6 at 10 leaf age were resistance to the disease. With the increase of leaf ages the sensitivity of rice varieties on disease decreased. This indicated that the susceptibility showed differences in the various growth stages of rice to rice black-·streaked dwarf dis·— ease. The susceptible growth stages of rice to rice black—streaked dwarf disease were the seedling stage and the eady field stage. The results were expected to provide essential evidence for the integrated control strategy to rice black— streaked dwarf disease.
