Abstract: Wheat seeds in different sprouting state (water uptaking, sprousing and spring) were put into dry soil (8% water contents below), and rewatered after 20, 40 and 60 days. The observation results showed that wheat seed in the spring treatment turned green first from the spring bottom to up gradually, then grew leavies and new roots. Among all treatments, the activity of recovering growth is the strongest in spring treatment. After rewatering, the recovering avtivity of spring treatment is stronger as a result of accumulation of mere malt sugar in seed. Water stress is harmful to seed in different sprouting state, but the seedling can be appeared nomally in all treatments.
