Abstract: K149A, a male-sterile line of wheat with Ae.Kotschyi cytoplasm, its maintainer line 149(B) and 3 restoring varieties (R) L783, Tai 106 and PH 85-4 as well as the following generations: F1 (A/R), F2, B2(A/F1), B2'(A∥B/R) were used in the experiment.Seed setting rate under bagging condition was used as indicator of restoring degree. The results showed that the male sterility of K-cytoplasm was gametophytic sterile type, the fertility restoration ability of the three restorers to K149A was governed by a pair of dominant restoring gene and the restoration ability of L783 to K149A was stronger than that of Tai 106 and PH 85-4.
