Abstract: Performing the reproduction of maize inbred lines as backcross population model, the procedure of purifying and reproducing maize inbred lines by the paternal line was designed, and significant advantages has been proved in the production of Mo 17.The genetic analysis of backcross population based on the laws of population genetics shows that the parameters of population genes ,genotypes and its frequency were determined by gene pairs and generations of genotypes. These parameters generally tend to gradually become the same as those of its recurrent parent, after the transition of several generations. These result may provide strong support to the procedure of purifying and reproducing the inbred lines of maize by its paternel lines.
