A New Pest in Chinese Jujube Tree-A New Species of Cixiidae Described in China

Abstract: In the present paper one new species of Cixiidae from China-Oliarus zaonensis Wang, n.sp. is described. This new species is harmful to Chinese jujube tree. It was collected from Shijiazhuang, Hebei province. All the type specimens are preserved in the insect collection room of Shijiazhuang Pomology Institute.This species resembles O.pachyceps Mats in appearance, but it is much little in size. The pronotum is brown, only the margin is stramineous, but the mesonotum is dark.
