Abstract:
For the sake of economically and effectively applying the fertelizer, the fertilizer-requiring characterestics of high-yielding spring millet in arid land were investigated in 1984.The results indicated that 1.33kg N and 0.49kg P(P5O2)were absorbed in order to produce 50kg of millet grain,in which 36.5% N and 60% P remain to be absorbed from the soil and root system respectively after earing. The physiologic significance of ensuring the growth of millet plant to maturity by root system were revealed, and the accumulation, distribution and transportation of N,P and dry matter were expounded, thus the theoretical base for rational application of fertilizer and high-yielding planting was provided in the paper.
