Abstract: Peanut was selected as the object to investigate the effects of biochar on absorption and accumulation of phthalic acid esters in peanut plants through pot experiment under different application rate of biochar including 0,0.5%,1.0%,5.0%. The results showed that the yield of peanut kernels increased 73.47%,67.41% and 34.79% respectively under the high, medium and low utilization level of biochar, which indicates the biochar plays a positive role in the yield of peanut. In the soil without biochar, the content of DBP and DEHP in different organs of peanut plant were 1.51-5.82 mg/kg and 1.36-4.82 mg/kg respectively. The content of DBP and DEHP in root was higher than other organs in peanut. Biochar reduced the absorption of DBP and DEHP in peanut plants, especially in medium and high application level of biochar, the content of DBP and DEHP in different organs of peanut was significantly lower than in control treatment. With increasing application of biochar, the enrichment factors of DBP and DEHP in peanut kernels reduced significantly.

Key words: Biochar, Peanut, Phthalic acid esters
