Abstract: This paper studied the relation between phytoplankton and physical2chemical factors of the alkalinitiescomposed of HCO3-type in shrimp pond. The results indicated:the correlation between phytoplankton biomass and watertemperature, transparency,Alk,chemical oxygen demand,NH+42N,PO3 -HCO3-4 2P was significant. The correlation of water tem2perature,Alk,chemical oxygen demand and NH+42Non the biomass was significantly positive, but transparency and PO3-4 2Pwas significantly negative. It suggested that water temperature, transparency,Alk,chemical oxygen demand,NH+42N,PO3-4 2P were the important physical2chemical factors to affect the high density of phytoplankton.
