Abstract: A pot experiment was conducted to study the effects of different nitrogen forms on hormones in root and enzymes catalyzing nitrogen metabolization. The quantity of hormones in roots was mensurated with the method of ELISA,and the activity of PMT and GS were mensurated with the method of isotopes and spectrophotometer,The results show that the activity of GS in the leaves and roots can be improved to the extent by NH4+.The activity of GS in the leaves can be improved and that in the roots can be reduced by the extract from sesame seed cake. The activity of PMT,a key enzyme that is in the synthesis of nicotine in root, can be activated by NH4+.It is also found that the quantity of hormones in roots and balance among them are effected by different nitrogen forms and the extract from sesame seed cake, especially the quantity of IAA,ABA,ZR,IAA/ABA and ZR/ABA can be improved by the extract from sesame seed cake.
