Abstract: Using three kinds of plug tray to grow watermelon seedling which grafted on shoot with root cutting. The results showed that no significant difference among treatments when the seedling age at 20 days after grafted. Cell size at 78.4cm3,82.9cm3 were restrained seedling growth and root vigor when the seedling age at 25 days after grafted. Seedling stem length, root dry weight, leaf area index, and root vigor were primarily functions of cell size. We suggest the best seedling age is 20 days and not last over 25 days to cell size of 78.4cm3,82.9cm3. Seedling age can be 30 days to the cell size of 131.6cm3.
