Tests of Efficacy of Bivalent Inactivated Oil Adjuvant Vaccine to Avian Infectious Coryza

Abstract: Three batches of bivalent inactivated oil adjuvant vaccine to avian infectious coryza were produced and the safety and efficacy of them were also evaluated in this study.15 chickens were injected intramuscularly with 4-5 mL vaccine,there was no significant sign to be observed,and no lesions on the injecting spot after 2 weeks.The vaccine could achieve a protective rate about 100% against challenge ofhigh virulent strain of serovar A(Hp8)and 93.3% against challenge of serovar C(H18).The antibodies were also tested in this st udy by and SPA,and the results showed that the vaccine could stimulatehigh leve ls of antibody tohpg.All the results demonstrated the good safty and efficacy of the vaccine,and it could play a big role in the prevention of infectious coryza in China.
