Abstract: Esterase electrophoretic fingerprint(EEF) and field planting(FP) were used to check the ratio of the female selves in artificial contamination seed lots of hybrid maize. Results show that the EEF method is as accurat as the FP at the maturity stage and nearly equal to the original contaminaton level. But the checking results of FP at the seeding stage and anthesis stage are inaccurate. Accuracy comparison of different checking techniques reveals that EEF method is 5 times more accurate than the FP at the seedling stage, 8 times more accurate than FP at the anthesis stage.
