Abstract: Research xesults showed that spikelet culture was an effectivemethod of overcoming immature-embryo abortion of the hybrids between wheat and maize through distant crossing. When the spikes of the crosses between wheat and maize grew for 14-16 days, the recovery frequency of the immature hybrid embryos When spikelet culture used 2 days after pollination, the frequency increased to 4.2%, which was 21 times higher.
