摘要： 经三年研究表明，以后茬水稻旱种为基础的新两熟制在北京及自然条件类似地区是可行的。这种新两熟制具有以下四大优点：
1.通过复种指数的提高，大幅度提高了单位耕地面积的产量。
2.通过后茬水稻旱种，适应本地区干旱少雨和春旱夏涝的自然条件，可克服种稻缺水的矛盾。
3.通过扩大稻田面积，增加稻谷总产量，向城乡人民提供越来越多的优质大米。
4.通过前茬合理利用，培肥地力，促进农业良性循环，扩大商品生产，提高土地经济效益。
总之，推广新两熟制可以加速农业综合发展，增加农民收入，符合农村经济体制改革的要求。
