Abstract: "In order to reduce the production cost and improve the utilization rate of water and fertilizer, and to realize the precise control of potted flowers, the effect of different watering frequency and fertilizer amount on the biomass, plant height, crown diameter, flower number and days of blooming of potted Euphorbia pulcherrima was studied by pot culture and quadratic general rotary design. The results indicated that the effect of fertilizer amount on the quality of potted E.pulcherrima was more significant than than that of watering frequency. The optimal matching control methods of water and fertilizer for potted E.pulcherrima in growing medium V(corn stalk)∶ V(peanut hull)∶ V(perlite)2∶ 1∶ 1 were concluded by equation fitting and simulating optimization. The optimal index of watering frequency was watering when the water content of medium was 55.39%-66.22% while the optimal index of fertilizer amount was 738.45-822.38 mg per pot.
