Abstract: The objective of this laboratory study was to determine if parasitoid could be conserved against whitefly incorps where insecticides were also applied for other pest species. Lethal effects of nine insecticides and acaricide were e-valuated in the laboratory on eggs, larvae, pupae and adults of the parasitoid Erccasia formosa. The results showed thesurvival ratio varied according to insecticide and developmental stage. The pyteghroid and organophosphates insecticideshad the highest toxic effect on Eyccarsia formosa, the toxicity of the insect growth regulator ( IGR) was lowest. All insecti-cides caused significant mortality to adult and eggs of Encarsia formosa in its host, but treatment of insecticide to pupaehad less effect on emergence.
