Abstract: The category, shape and distribution of antennal sensilla of Anomala corpulenta Motschulsky were observed under scanning electron microscope. At the same time, the relationship between their morpholo-gY,construction and function was discussed. The results show that antennae of Anomala corpulenta are made up of scape, pedicel and flagella consisting of 8 segments. Both the antenna of male and female contain seven kinds of the antennal sensilla, namely, sensilla trichodea, sensilla chactica, sensilla basiconica, sensilla cavitica, sensilla coeloconica, sensilla coelocolumnia, sensilla cavitata-peg. Number and distribution of antennal sensilla in both sexes are kind of different, but the category is similar. There are a large number of sensilla concentrating on 6一8 segments of flagella, such as sensilla cavitica, sensilla coeloconica, sensilla coelocolumnia, sensilla cavi-tata-peg,but sensilla trichodea, sensilla chactica, sensilla basiconica on 1一5 segments. In addition, two new types of sensilla, sensilla coelocolumnia and sensilla cavitata-peg, are founded, which haven' t been reported up to date in the researches on insects of Coleoptera.
