Abstract: Some hydrophilic fibrovascular plants living under the ice of Baiyinhua reservoir such as Potamogeton crispus, Myriophyllum spicatum,Ceratophyllum demersum,Batrachium bungei were observed. The biomass of these plants varied from 10 to 3760 g / m2,and according to the area occupied by each of the plants their order was as follows:Potamogeton crispus>Myriophyllum spicatum>Ceratophyllum demersum>Batrachium bungei. The result of test with black-white bottle showed that Potamogeton crispus gave the greatest amount of oxygen (1 g of hydrophilic plant per unit time), followed by Batrachium hungei,Myriophyllum spicatum,Ceratophyllum demersum accordingly. The supplementary point of photosynthesis is 100 1x,175 1x,160 lx and 150 lx,respectively.
