The Application of Tieguanyin Tea Dust Extract in the Aluminum Foil Paper of Cigarette

Abstract: In order to make full use of the large amount of the tea waste, which is Tieguanyin tea dust, this paper do some research about aluminum foil paper coated Tieguanyin tea dust water extract using the rolling method. The results showed that, when the Tieguanyin tea dust extract coating amount was 10 g/m2, the color of aluminum foil paper(width:114 mm) coated Tieguanyin tea dust extract was stable. GC-MS results showed that, the characteristic aroma of Tieguanyin tea was transferred and retained to the aluminum foil paper coated Tieguanyin tea dust extract, including phenethyl alcohol, indoles and β-ionone, which were the characteristics of composition of Tieguanyin tea.The sensory evaluation of cigarettes results showed that, after using the aluminum foil paper coated Tieguanyin tea dust extract, the smoking taste of cigarette could be improved, and made the fragrance delicate, soft, even enhance the sense of smell of cigarettes,reduced smoke irritating, and highlight the tea rhyme.The sensory quality remained stable in 180 days. The all test results indicate that, the application of Tieguanyin tea dust extract in the aluminum foil paper is feasible.
