Abstract: The study of hybrid breeding was conducted through Dorper ram associated with Small Tail Han Sheep ewe in this paper. The early gain weight, growth and reproduction performance of inter-mating breed offspring were measured. The results showed that the third month body weight of ram and ewe was 27.36 kg and 22.88 kg respectively, which was 6.98 kg and 7.20 kg more than those from Small Tail Han Sheep respectively.Three month daily gain was 272.56 g and 227.44 g,which was 78.67 g and 80.77 g more than those from Small Tail Han Sheep respectively. The Sixth month body weight was 48.46 kg and 40.56 kg,which was 13.9 kg and 15.53 kg more than those from Small Tail Han Sheep respectively.Six month daily gain was 253.50 g and 211.94 g,which was 75.67 g and 86.67 g more than those from Small Tail Han Sheep respectively.Chest breadth and chest circumference, thigh circumference of the third, sixth month and adult inter-mating breed offspring were more than Small Tail Han Sheep significantly. There were more oestrus proportion of inter-mating breed offspring in first half year than second half year. Results indicated that early gain weight and mutton shape of inter-mating breed offspring were both better than Small Tail Han Sheep.Litter size of inter-mating breed offspring was 1.76,which improved than Dorper but oestrus seasonal.
