Abstract:
Analysis of genetic main effects and GE interaction effects for flowering trait of island cotton ( Gossypiumbarbadense L. ) were conducted for 2??yr diallel cross data by using a ADM genet ic mode. Analysis approaches of uncondi??tional and conditional variance and correlation were employed to evaluate developmental behavior of flowering trait. Theresults indicated that significant variances due to addition, dominance, and maternal environment interact ion were detectedfor flowering traits at different stages. Significant conditional variances were found at some stages while no unconditionalones being detected. Correlation analysis between different stages indicated that there existed significant coeff icients due to additive and maternal environment interaction at most stages. While for phenotype, nearly every unconditional coefficientwas zero. Furthermore, Not only the degree of the correlation but also the direction of the correlation was changeable atdifferent stages. The correlat ion results of f inal traits could not fully indicate the dynamic procedure during the whole developmental period.
