Abstract: Two fine high yielding mutants (Ⅱ-45-1 and Ⅲ-36-1)of common buckwheat were obtained from 10 000 rad seed radiation by 60 Co γ ray.The results indicates that the peroxidase activity of Ⅱ 45 1 and Ⅲ 36 1 is three times that of unradiated buckwheat. The isoenzymes zymogram of peroxidase shows that both Ⅱ-45-1 and Ⅲ-36-1 have an additional band (Rf=0.43)while a band (Rf=0.84)is missing in comparison with the unradiated buckwheat.
Key words: Common buckwheat, Mutant Peroxidase, Isoenzyme of peroxidase
