Abstract: The anatomic and surface structures of the seed coat of 3 species of Soja are observed under the light microscope and the scanning electronic microscope. It is evident that the seed coat structure of the wild soybean is different from that of the cultivated soybean, and that of the semi-wild soybean is between the two above-mentioned.It provides evidence that the cultivated soybean has evolved gradually from the wild soybean through the semi-wild soybean.
