Abstract: Flower buds of eight F1 cultivars of ornamental kale (Brassica oleracea var. acephala f. tricolor Hort.) were in ditro propagated as explants. The medium containing MS+BA 1-2 mg/L +IAA 0. 5mg/L +NAA 0. 1-0. 2mg/L +GA30. 3mg/L(or free) +3% sucrose was used for the induction of adventitious buds. The adventitious buds were induced at the rate of 18-67% of the cultured flower buds. At the rate of 30%, the regenerated adventitious buds developed into complete phatlets. The browning of cultures and the glassy of regenerated ptantlets severely effected the survival rate of the plants. Addition of active carbon and penicillin (Gpotassium) into the medium under strong lighting(25000 Lux) could raise the survival rate of the phatlets.
